EmuCR:bsnes Emulatorsbsnes v088 is released. bsnes is an emulator for the Super Famicom and SNES video game systems. The purpose of the emulator is a bit different from other emulators: it focuses on accuracy, debugging functionality, and clean code.

    Is this only for the japanese super nintendo? I choose super famicon, and it doesn't recognize any of my roms. I heard this is the best Super Nintendo emulator, if you have a great computer.

    @mat_Kimura: you need to use the snespurify tool to convert your rom files into bsnes-compatible file format, which is SFC. v088 does not include snespurify so obtain it from an older version of bsnes like v087.

    Before I get into BSnes, do you recommend it over ZSnes 1.52? I have a really good computer, an I heard it benefits from great computers.

    zsnes 1.52 is not an official release, matt_kimura. latest stable version of zsnes is 1.51.

    to run Bsnes v088 comfortably with no audio/video stuttering, you need a computer with at least either an Intel Core 2 Duo or AMD Phenom (AMD-K10) processor. Bsnes runs best with Intel core i3/i5/i7 or Phenom Dual-core CPUs.

    though older versions of bsnes can run okay with at least an intel pentium 4 or athlon 64 cpus.

    I'll stop trash talking byuu and his shitty unoptimised SNES emu if you stop trash-talking 'innaccurate' emulators (and honestly brah, as if you're even able to notice the 'accuracy' - idiot - you're a typical idiotic enduser that has noticed his guru uttering a new buzzword - cycle-accuracy) and has ran with it without even understanding why it matters and why he/she should care if he/she is not even able to determine what it is.

    I can tell you right now - an idiotic end-user like you NOTICES ZERO from the 'cycle accuracy' your cultish leader provides to you in the form of bSNES. You might as well play with SNES9x for your gaming needs since you're not likely to be able to notice any differences to begin with.

    Cycle-accuracy matters to people coding SNES homebrew (not very many), ROM hackers and the like - not some idiotic end-user that wants to shout 'STFU you byuu hater' at emucr.

    Im sure you are fapping to your great bsnes great exclusives such as:
    2 shogi games,top gear 3000 (sega cd is 100% better),the crappy gundam strategy SD game, weapons lord (the fire effect title screen) and oh wow van dammes time cop.
    in the mean time i will enjoy every other fucking game in existance at full speed in my android,and i can guarantee i will not notice any difference even if they program at HLE

    I shouldn't have to have a super high-end pc to play super nintendo 0_o. I have a quad core. Dreamcast, ps1, sega cd, etc runs great on my pc. This emulator only runs 6fps on my pc. What's wrong with this picture?
