DOSBox-X Git (2026/01/07) is compiled. DOSBox-x is a branch of DOSBox. DOSBox emulates an Intel x86 PC, complete with sound, graphics, mouse, joystick, modem, etc., necessary for running many old MS-DOS games that simply cannot be run on modern PCs and operating systems, such as Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista, Linux and FreeBSD.
DOSBox-X Changelog:
* Correct video debug overlay regarding CGA/PCjr/Tandy/etc interleaved scan line count
* Fix bug in CPU Idle Callback that fails to limit the IRQ processing to one CPU instruction. The effect was that the idle call executed however much the CPU could execute until the next scheduled PIC event. If Render on Demand is enabled, there are far fewer PIC events and therefore the Idle call took a lot more emulator time to complete. This fixes a bug where Render on Demand caused Xargon screen transitions to take 5 to 10 times longer than normal
* Ah... wtf?
* Change LOGL to print PIC_FullIndex() to allow debugging timing issues
* Merge pull request #6043 from maron2000/fix_mingw
* Fix build error of HX-DOS
* WASAPI supported only on MinGW-w64 and MSVC
* Fix reference error of MinGW builds
* Merge pull request #6042 from maron2000/fix_mac_crash
* Fix LDFLAGS and remove redundant flags
