DOSBox-X Git (2026/05/19) is compiled. DOSBox-x is a branch of DOSBox. DOSBox emulates an Intel x86 PC, complete with sound, graphics, mouse, joystick, modem, etc., necessary for running many old MS-DOS games that simply cannot be run on modern PCs and operating systems, such as Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista, Linux and FreeBSD.
DOSBox-X Changelog:
* CPU snap back to real mode: Reset segment limits, physical address, IDT and GDT, everything. This fixes CTRL+ALT+DEL reboot from OS/2 1.3 where segment limits from protected mode are still in effect causing the boot sector to crash
* Merge pull request #6296 from AleWin32/fix/memfind-mems-pmode-addressing
* Debugger: MEMFIND/MEMS fixes (most important: protected mode addressing)
* Floppy: Read ID takes some time, it is not instant
* Floppy: More events will be added, add a way to clear all events to start another
* Merge pull request #6294 from maron2000/fix_int13
* Update CHANGELOG
* BOOT: Fix floppy detection
