DOSBox-X Git (2026/05/27) is compiled. DOSBox-x is a branch of DOSBox. DOSBox emulates an Intel x86 PC, complete with sound, graphics, mouse, joystick, modem, etc., necessary for running many old MS-DOS games that simply cannot be run on modern PCs and operating systems, such as Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista, Linux and FreeBSD.

DOSBox-X Changelog:
* Disney sound source/COVOX: Hold the last sample written to the DAC when nothing is written. Stop Disney sound source only if idle and last written DAC value is 128 (DC zero). Necessary to prevent popping artifacts with In Extremis when using LPT DAC output
