DOSBox-X Git (2026/07/26) is compiled. DOSBox-x is a branch of DOSBox. DOSBox emulates an Intel x86 PC, complete with sound, graphics, mouse, joystick, modem, etc., necessary for running many old MS-DOS games that simply cannot be run on modern PCs and operating systems, such as Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista, Linux and FreeBSD.

* Fix two bugs on error paths in fatDrive::fatDrive(sysFilename, ...). The boot-sector read-error path returned without setting created_successfully = false (which defaults to true), so a truncated read was silently treated as a successful mount; and the qcow2 and read-error early-return paths never wrapped diskfile in a loadedDisk, leaking the file handle. Both now set the flag and fclose() before returning.
