DOSBox-X Git (2026/08/09) is compiled. DOSBox-x is a branch of DOSBox. DOSBox emulates an Intel x86 PC, complete with sound, graphics, mouse, joystick, modem, etc., necessary for running many old MS-DOS games that simply cannot be run on modern PCs and operating systems, such as Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista, Linux and FreeBSD.
DOSBox-X Changelog:
* Change BIOS setup screen from yellow on blue to white on blue for that classic Award BIOS look
* BIOS setup: Improve selector hilighting
* BIOS setup: The IBM PC attibutes used for hilight do not make any visible change in MDA/Hercules machine types. Use the underline attribute in that case
* BIOS: If the machine type is NEC PC-98 then why are we claiming to be an IBM COMPATIBLE BIOS in the BIOS setup screen?
* BIOS setup: Even though we do not yet know how to read/write or even emulate the CMOS on PC-98 systems, hilight the selected item anyway in the typical style that PC-98 software likes to present menus
* BIOS setup: Fix initial lack of date/time hilight when entering the screen
* BIOS setup: There is no need to reboot the system on exit just because the user changed the date and time. Software and OSes do that all the time without rebooting. Can you imagine if Windows 95 required you to restart the system every time you double-click the time in the taskbar to change the clock? Come on now
* BIOS setup: Separate CMOS functions for PC-98 (stub functions), also the IBM PC CMOS functions touch I/O ports that mess up the text display in PC-98 mode
* BIOS setup: Use new get/set functions to adjust clock time, and adjust BIOS tick count too
* BIOS setup: Use callbacks to read/write the clock. For IBM PC mode, use the CMOS to read/write date/time, not the BIOS timer counter
* Merge pull request #6451 from cimarronm/add-teledisk
* Add CHANGELOG entry for TeleDisk (.td0) image support
* Add TeleDisk (.td0) image support
