Nextendo v1.7.4 is released. Nextendo is a fork of the open-source Ryujinx Nintendo Switch emulator. On top of Ryujinx's excellent accuracy and performance, Nextendo adds a first-class, built-in client for the Nextendo Network — a community-run replacement for the official online service — so supported games can be played online again without any manual configuration, custom hosts file, or SSL bypass on the user's part. The emulation core (CPU, GPU, audio, input, filesystem) is unchanged from upstream Ryujinx. Nextendo's additions are limited to the networking layer and the surrounding user experience.
Nextendo Changelog:
Splatoon 2 rotation fix
Some players were still landing on an outdated Splatoon 2 online schedule — and the "communication errors" that come from being on a different rotation than everyone else. This build fixes the root cause.
One source of truth for the schedule. The online schedule (BCAT) is now read only from the auto-synced location that 1.7.3 already refreshes on every launch. A stale copy sitting next to the executable — left over from an older build, or copied in from somewhere else — can no longer override the current rotation.
Nothing to do on your side. The schedule keeps force-syncing from the server at launch; this release just makes sure the fresh copy is the one actually used in game.
Notes
If you once copied a bcat-seed folder next to Ryujinx.exe, you can delete it — it is no longer read.
