XaviXEmu v0.3.1 is released. XaviXEmu is an experimental, open-source Windows emulator for selected XaviX, XaviX 2000, and XaviX 2 television games. The project focuses on documented hardware behaviour, motion-input emulation, reproducible tests, and preservation of research for systems whose original optical accessories are difficult to use on modern displays.

Features:
Native Win32 front end with Traditional Chinese and English interfaces.
Nearest-neighbour output, window scaling, maximized mode, optional 4:3 presentation, and borderless fullscreen.
Mouse-driven virtual optical input for sword, boxing, and motion profiles, plus early wireless-controller and TV-PC keyboard models.
24C02, 24C04, 24C08, and 24C16 EEPROM models.
Per-game EEPROM and runtime-state files for supported original XaviX and XaviX 2000 profiles.
PNG screenshots generated locally by the user.
Strict ROM size, CRC32, and SHA-1 verification.
ROM-independent automated CPU, video, audio, peripheral, persistence, screenshot, and state tests.

XaviXEmu Changelog:
Version 0.3.1 is the project's largest XaviX 2 update so far.
Highlights
Promote Bandai Naruto (ban_naru) and Blue Dragon (ban_bldj) to
Playable. Both now have verified gameplay, improved optical controls,
F5/F7 runtime states, substantially cleaner audio, and major graphics,
scaling, transparency, crop, and layer corrections.
Improve XaviX 2 timing and music voice release/loop behavior. Audio is much
more usable, although envelopes, filtering, and some music behavior are not
yet hardware-perfect.
Add remappable PS/Windows gamepad controls. Both analog sticks can act as
independent relative reflector pointers that remain where they are released,
with per-game action bindings and gentler acceleration.
Add an initial two-Wii-Remote HID/IR path with calibration and remappable
actions. The maintainer does not own Wii Remote hardware, so this remains
unverified on physical Wii Remotes and needs community testing.
Add complete French and Japanese interfaces alongside Traditional Chinese
and English, with automatic Windows-locale selection and persistent INI
settings.
Add F9/F10 MJPEG AVI recording, display-sized recording, F8 screenshots,
and local save and snap directories.
Expand exact-ROM support for five EPOCH XaviX 2 titles and continue the
experimental Dragon Ball polygon, terrain, input, and audio work.
