Nextendo v1.8.10 is released. Nextendo is a fork of the open-source Ryujinx Nintendo Switch emulator. On top of Ryujinx's excellent accuracy and performance, Nextendo adds a first-class, built-in client for the Nextendo Network — a community-run replacement for the official online service — so supported games can be played online again without any manual configuration, custom hosts file, or SSL bypass on the user's part. The emulation core (CPU, GPU, audio, input, filesystem) is unchanged from upstream Ryujinx. Nextendo's additions are limited to the networking layer and the surrounding user experience.
Nextendo Changelog:
Game invitations (Invite Friends): when a game opens the friend invitation screen, you now get a friend picker with search and online/offline sections, and the invite is sent through your Nextendo account. The friend receives a Game Invite notification with Accept and Decline, and pending invites stay listed in the Friends window until they expire (@CollectingW).
First-run wizard: the keys step now checks that the file really is a prod.keys before installing it (picking title.keys by mistake no longer breaks every game), and copies title.keys along when it sits next to it (@z1pp090, #32).
Updater: fixed the relaunch after an update on Windows, which failed with "Windows cannot find the file \" (@z1pp090, #29).
Spanish: filled in the missing Spanish texts of the Nextendo dialogs (@z1pp090, #30).
