WinUAE v6.1.0 Beta 14 is released. WinUAE is the commodore amiga emulator for Windows. WinUAE is a mostly complete software emulation of the hardware of the Commodore Amiga 500/1000/2000. A Commodore Amiga, for those who don’t know, is a 16/32 bit computer system based on the Motorola 680×0 CPU and a few specially designed custom chips that provide very good graphics and sound capabilities. Its first incarnation, the A1000, appeared in 1985, followed by the highly successful A500 and A2000 models. WinUAE is a port of the originally written for Unixish systems UAE; but over time, it seems the Windows port, WinUAE has become the best version available on any platform. WinUAE is free software: you are welcome to distribute copies of it and/or modify it, under certain conditions. There is no warranty of any kind for UAE. WinUAE Changelog:
- RTG mode: refresh rate was calculated incorrectly, causing side-effects like bad sound. (b10 and b13)
- Native mode vertical blank start/end detection was still unreliable, caused display to have +-1 line vertical offset in some situations.
- Copper bugs (COPJMPx blitter conflict, weird conflict when COP1LCx is written exactly when VB triggered COPJMP1 starts) reimplemented for 6.1.
- Adjusted normal Overscan setting screenshot positioning to match previous versions.
- warpboot_delay was never loaded from config file. (warpboot_delay = how many frames to delay boot warp mode automatic switch off)
- Debugger 's' shows parsed search bytes as hexadecimal before starting search.
- Changed A2410 VRAM size to 1M. Board has 2M of RAM but only 1M is VRAM, the rest is for program and overlay. If VRAM size was different than original configured value during reset, soft reset was changed to hard reset because emulator detected this on the fly VRAM size change.
