Genesis Plus EX v3.0.3 is released. A Windows emulator based on Genesis Plus GX, built directly against the emulator core. It sits alongside the existing sdl/ and gx/ ports as a new win32/ port. No SDL. Video goes through GDI or, optionally, Direct3D 9 or Direct3D 11 (Video → Renderer); sound through waveOut, gamepads through XInput. The finished executable depends only on DLLs that ship with Windows. Supports everything the core does: Mega Drive / Genesis, Master System, Game Gear, SG-1000, Mega CD / Sega CD, and Pico. A fixes release for v3.0.0, mainly for PlayStation pads (DualSense, DualShock 4), Nintendo Switch controllers, other joysticks, and High-DPI display support. Your settings, saves, states, cheats, and profiles are kept.
Fixes
PlayStation pads (DualSense, DualShock 4) and other DirectInput joysticks: Controllers now start with their correct button layouts. Previously, they inherited the Xbox controller's button mapping, causing the D-pad to be assigned to the face buttons while leaving the actual D-pad unmapped. Saved configurations still using the old default mappings are automatically updated.
Nintendo Switch controllers: Improved controller compatibility and button mapping.
Button assignment on Sony controllers: Fixed an issue where analog triggers were incorrectly used for the right stick, preventing the controller assignment process from detecting when all buttons were released. The right stick is now read from the Z / Rz axes.
High-DPI displays: Improved display scaling and interface support on high-resolution screens.
Genesis Plus GX core: Updated with the latest upstream fixes.
Notes
BIOS files are not included (only Mega CD games need them): see readme.txt.
Based on Genesis Plus GX by Eke-Eke, core by Charles MacDonald; 32X through PicoDrive by Dave, notaz, irixxxx and others. Same license terms as Genesis Plus GX: source must accompany modified redistributions, and it may not be sold or used commercially.
