xemu Modern GUI v2.4 is released. This is an experimental fork of xemu for trying out user interface improvements. It is not official xemu, and it is not made, endorsed or supported by the xemu project. Some of these ideas may never appear in xemu.
xemu Modern GUI Changelog:
1.4 GHz CPU option. Real hardware speed can pace to 733 MHz (stock) or 1.4 GHz (like a modded console), under Settings > Performance. Real hardware speed is off by default.
Per-game display refresh. Pick the refresh rate for each game in its Game Settings, since it helps some games and not others. The 75 Hz option is marked experimental.
Hover descriptions. Every setting shows a short explanation when you hover over it.
More on-screen keyboard layouts, and you can rename games in the library.
Fixes carried in from upstream xemu
Online play and system link no longer stall when the network receive buffer is briefly full.
Audio voices run in order instead of asserting.
Vulkan: the draw clock advances on batch submit, and a stale-texture bug is fixed.
Vulkan: fixed an infinite loop at start-up on some GPUs.
Vulkan: faster copying of remapped vertices, and standard border colours.
Faster fence polling (Project Gotham Racing 2's heavy scenes reached a locked 30 fps in testing).
The CPU core no longer throws away code that stores into its own page (loaders and packers need this).
Added the missing signed texture formats (V16U16).
Games that probe the rdpmc instruction now run.
Faster LRU scan.
