WinUAE v6.1.0 Beta 21 is released. WinUAE is the commodore amiga emulator for Windows. WinUAE is a mostly complete software emulation of the hardware of the Commodore Amiga 500/1000/2000. A Commodore Amiga, for those who don’t know, is a 16/32 bit computer system based on the Motorola 680×0 CPU and a few specially designed custom chips that provide very good graphics and sound capabilities. Its first incarnation, the A1000, appeared in 1985, followed by the highly successful A500 and A2000 models. WinUAE is a port of the originally written for Unixish systems UAE; but over time, it seems the Windows port, WinUAE has become the best version available on any platform. WinUAE is free software: you are welcome to distribute copies of it and/or modify it, under certain conditions. There is no warranty of any kind for UAE. WinUAE Changelog:
- "Remove interlace artifacts" should now work without flickering or missing lines.
- "Always stretch PAL as NTSC" changes vertical start by 5 lines to better match real NTSC positioning.
- If INTREQ PORTS/EXTER bit clear and CIA interrupt status register read happens "at the same time", CIA clear was done first but INTREQ bit should be kept set (CIA IRQ pin clear happens slightly later). Was unreliable before b13, was always wrong since b13 after event handling update. Fixes (bad) Warhead keyboard routine failing to read any keys, perhaps others too.
- Loading statefile with out of range programmed mode setup with combined sync monitor mode didn't always force composite sync mode but selected useless H/V sync mode.
- If directory filesystem host-side directory and at least one directory/file inside the directory was cached and was later deleted from host side, next Amiga side directory access flushed it from cache but any items inside the directory was not freed, possibly causing crash when cache become full and older entries were getting flushed. - On the fly ARM64 JIT enable or cache size change didn't work correctly. (SR)
